Solutions for Problem Behavior

Our Process

Our treatment plans take into account each person's particular needs and difficulties by individualizing behavioral strategies to each learner. We understand that every person is unique, so we work closely with families to make sure that our treatment goals are well-suited to their objectives and beliefs.

We offer the following services:

Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs): First, a FBA is conducted to identify the causes of a learner’s problem behavior. This includes completing some questionnaires and direct observations or interactions with the learner.

Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs): Based on the FBA's findings, we create a BIP that details specific tactics for reducing problem behaviors and fostering positive behaviors instead. We work directly with families at every step of the planning stage to make sure the strategies recommended are feasible and effective for the family’s daily life.

Parent Training: Consistency is key! Parents of children with autism or other developmental disabilities are trained to implement our BIPs so that the most progress can be achieved with the learner. Weekly trainings are strongly encouraged to ensure that parents have enough practice with the BCBA before implementing strategies themselves.
